Hey Arnold at 20: An Ode [originally written 8 October 2016]

Twenty years ago yesterday (being 7 October 2016), THE greatest cartoon ever made (or one of them), began its run as a series on Nickelodeon. Especially in those days, we had shows about kids who strove for fame, shows with bad incidental music, or a combination of both. "Hey Arnold" had none of that; just a normal kid and his friends living in the big city with really kickin' urban jazz scores in the background. Sure there were some changes throughout the run such as upgrades in animation and voice talent changes but this show remained watchable throughout its time. There are many likable characters and relatable plots that make this show very memorable. Arnold was the voice of reason among his friends; a unique feature that sets this piece apart from other TV works. You may disagree but I thought the movie was pretty good as well. Too bad Nickelodeon treated the series like crap toward the end (ie. crappy time slots, episode burn-offs until 2004). I'm all for the Jungle Movie when it gets made. (Coming in 2017! Hope I can watch it.)

As a type of "Peanuts" of the 90's and 00's, "Hey Arnold" was a calm and enjoyable show that is a complete pleasure to watch. Compared to other Nick shows running during "Arnold"'s run, this show was in a league of its own. The lessons learned through each episode are still relevant to this day. I've seen every single episode and enjoyed every single minute of each one. What would life be like had I not found this show? As far as I know, very, very different in a bad way.

7 October 1996-8 June 2004 but still inspiring.

Happy birthday, Arnold! Keep movin' football head.

Hey Danny Phantom fans, guess what!

I'm sorry for the lack of updates these past few days. My computer keeps acting up and i've been busy with stuff. Well, anyway, in the Butch Hartman forum, Butch says that Nickelodeon has renewed Danny Phantom for a 3rd season. Spread the word, everyone!!! And there are also new episodes coming this June. I can't wait. I hope they don't stink because i've been liking the show since it came out on April 3, 2004. If I like one, i'll review it when I get the chance. Let's now come back to the subject of updating. I'll probably do more post this summer if there's things to be discussed. I hope you all have a great summer and enjoy the new "Danny Phantom"s. like I said, I'll put up a review once i've seen one. VMM, signing off!

Goodbye to Bloo - Reviewed

I found out about it the next day. Not even 2 years later I finally got to see the episode. Yeah, the week of 3 May 2009 wasn't the best week for me (for personal reasons). To this day I have seen "Goodbye to Bloo" several times and here's what I think of it. They tried to make it where Mac would no longer be coming to Foster's when it was something else entirely. This was how they ended the series. Even if I had absolutely no idea this was the actual last episode, I can tell it's the final episode just by seeing how the story proceeds and ends. Toward the very end, upon closing the episode, the ending made my mind flash backwards through the entire series, remembering the great and not-so-great moments that made "Foster's" "Foster...

"Mucha Lucha " fans BEWARE!

For those who watch and favroite show is the show named above, I got some bad news and probably some good news. The season airing will probably be the LAST season to air. And I bet you are so sad to have had heard that news. But, If i'm not mistaking, there's hope. :-) Cartoon Network will probably play some reruns for a little longer (like what they are doing to "Static Shock" and "Ozzy & Drix.) Now do you feel better? But please, don't take my word for it. I cannot predict the future. I do not have phyic powers. But I'll tell you this. This series will probably stay for 52 eppies. Poor series. :-( I bet you the creators are very dissipointed that their show, their baby, will get canned! And I also bet you that they are just as sad as you. But don't worry! As cartoon lovers, we can find a cartoon just as "Mucha Lucha" was. And we can catch reruns on Catoon Network. God Bless Cartoon Network and the show, itself. The show will just ...
