Goodbye to Bloo
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

3 May 2009

As I said in an earlier post, I didn't get to see this ep when it premiered. I found out about it the next day. Not even 2 years later I finally got to see the episode. Yeah, the week of 3 May 2009 wasn't the best week for me (for personal reasons). To this day I have seen "Goodbye to Bloo" several times and here's what I think of it.

They tried to make it where Mac would no longer be coming to Foster's when it was something else entirely. This was how they ended the series. Even if I had absolutely no idea this was the actual last episode, I can tell it's the final episode just by seeing how the story proceeds and ends. Toward the very end, upon closing the episode, the ending made my mind flash backwards through the entire series, remembering the great and not-so-great moments that made "Foster's" "Foster's." Don't miss the closing credits. There was a very sincere message from the creators.

I could give this episode the full 5 stars but there was one thing holding it back. Let's say an unwanted visitor showed up...to move in. Ugh! It totally ruined the ending of the episode and series for me. This episode gets 4 stars. Despite that one shortcoming, this was one excellent ending to one...excellent...series. Not all shows are blessed to have that. Makes me want to re-watch the entire series from the pilot to the very end. I just might do that. Here I go!

Update: I have successfully watched the full series 2 times on Hulu. I am currently on my 3rd round completing season 6 (the last season). YAH!

"Foster's" on Kids' WB?

I believe so. According to the Toonzone forums, It will start July 9. I'm not sure wether i'm gonna watch it or not. I guess the old saying is true, "be careful what you wish for, it might come true." I was wondering when the day would come. It's not even gonna last a year. Probably because K.W.B. signed the contract to where it last less than a year. Same with PowerPuff Girls (sister), Kids Next Door, and even Samuri Jack didn't last long either. I hope it doesn't cause the show to jump the shark. Like I said, i've been watching the show since the beginning. It started perfect, it better end perfect, or else. Kids' WB is more oriented for anime. Really and seriously, "Foster's" is not anime (no action, not from Japan). Cartoon Network and WB are both owned by Time Warner. Time Warner must be on crack. Ah, well, let's just hope that the show gets good raitings there and enjoy it while it last. Remember: Never stop being fans of ...

Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, GO!

On Friday, my team and I accepted this new Cartoon Network show called "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi." To me, it was very good. It's about these 2 girls named Ami and Yumi and they play in a rock band together. This series was created by this guy named Sam Register. I do not know who he is. If you actually have a clue to who he is, you know the score (e-mail me)! Today at school, we had our Thanksgiving party. During it, this boy started this conversation about this very show above. They were talking about the one called "Dis- 'I'm your biggest fan!' Harmony" (for fans, you know what I'm talking about). And this other one called "Ole!" It's about bull fighting. And thats all I can think about. I think there were more, but I cannot remember. I know it's been a while since i've posted a review (hence the site's name "Vic's Review"), but I will try to eventually. And for you new fans out there, l...
